(6,041 posts)14. Trump's grievances with California, may help Newsom to be President
Trump can't but help act on his grievances over real and imagined sleights. A majority of Californians voted against him twice and he will try to take revenge in multiple ways, giving Gov. Newsom ample opportunities to oppose Trump, which he is doing quite effectively. His very clear to the point opposition will aggravate Trump and increase Newsom's national recognition and prestige.

OP
I'd rate that as extremely unlikely (for at least a couple of different reasons) - - -(nt)-

That, by the way, is an excellent speech. We are in good hands here, as long as Newsom can hold off Lawless Don.

Just like the pro-Palestinian crowd said about Kamala. How did that self-righteousness work out?

I'll vote for him if he's the nominee. He's my Governor and I think he's doing a very good job...

As I watch him, I see President Newsom. But, will the rest of the country? Jerry Brown might've made a good President,

He seems to be the first to call out the liar for what he is in a public setting.

I love Newsom but I can't help but feel that his anti-Trans-Sports view will cause him trouble.

If he doesn't win the "DU primary" then he's going to struggle IRL.

Yup! I think he's got what it takes and I'd vote for him, but there's definitely trouble. n/t

He raised his chances quite a bit with his handling of the immigration problem in California.

Maybe, or maybe one of the other Governors. This is getting to be a states' rights battle,

We'd be looking at the current President had there been a primary last year.
