Of course, the lyrics were by no means intended to advocate any specific course of action. Alvin Lee was expressing what so many people both then and now feel -- a sense of being overwhelmed by so many problems that we don't know what to do, so we just hope somebody comes up with solutions.

I'd love to change the world
But I don't know what to do
So I leave it up to you

The musical composition on this track is absolutely beautiful, and Lee's guitar playing is phenomenal. I'd Love to Change the World is beyond a classic rock song -- it is a masterpiece.
