I see that you did some more internet research and cuttin' and pastin', and didn't honestly answer any of my questions, which I knew you probably wouldn't or couldn't.

The Cossacks that fought as German SS, hailed mainly from Crimea or the "Kuban" area of the Soviet Union. Their lineage was primarily through Ukraine since the 1700's...They were "repatriated" with the group you mentioned, and then sold out by the USSR in the agreement in Malta...Many were executed by Stalin in the late 1940's...Were there some Russians as Crimean/Kuban Cossacks? Probably so, but you have to understand the dynamic of Ukraine and the Soviet Union. It has never been an "us versus them" concept to Ukrainians. It is always a border dispute and the Cossacks were and are proudly independent of the Stalin influence, thus their allegiance to, and acceptance by the German SS.
