As to what to take from it, I just think that the MAGA crowd is living in an alternate reality of sorts, based on whatever he tells them is true.

They don't seem to notice the inconsistencies and contradictions between what he says and what's actually happening in the world, because they live in an echo chamber and have been trained to reject any information coming from outside.
