In reply to the discussion: Why are DEM leaders not backing DEM candidate who DEM primary voters decided on. [View all]lostincalifornia
(5,178 posts)28. Absolutely disgraceful. and yet the DSA raise their arms and say why don't you endorse our candidates?
How about this. Jerry Nadler has endorsed Zorhan Mamdani, and they want to primary him? The only reason I can think of that isn't because Nadler's liberal credentials, because his voting record is left liberal:

I suspect it is because of his religion.
Perhaps they should look in the mirror at themselves before they start throwing stones. Where was the DSA in 2016 and 2024 when the stakes were so critical. Their actions contributed to the Supreme Court we have today, by those who either voted third party or didn't vote.
Just go to the DSA site and read their statements on VP Harris verses trump in 2024. They actually encouraged people NOT to vote for either one. Such garbage.

Traditionally, Repubs are Top-Down Gatekeepers & Dems Bottom-Up, but it looks like a few are adopting GOP strategies.

Didn't a book just come out from 3 former WaPo reporters basically saying Dem leaders don't listen to voters?

You are right. Hogg himself chose not to run again because he knew he would lose to Kenyatta.
