any holidays but for two grandchildren. One lives in Europe, and as much of a grinch I am about technology, I do like that I can communicate with her by "face-timing" on another site. (Note how I have mastered the lingo of the younger generations.)

My adult children like me to participate in Thanksgiving and Christmas. Three of the four respect that I do not want any presents -- including on my birthday. And I don't wait for a special day to give presents to the grandchildren. Being a grumpy old man holds responsibilities!
