53. The insanity of circular thinking. How could he be profoundly mentally ill? He is/was the U.S. president.

That just doesn't compute for far to many.

For decades from now, historians will be contending with the confluence of dysfunctional government, massive transfer of wealth from the many to the few, and simultaneous transfer to the old at the expense of the young, combined with a multi-trillion dollar propaganda infrastructure fomenting rage at the wrong targets, while alienating people from their own power to shape their government (and instead declaring the government of We the People as the enemy)... And the question of how, out of all of that, enough people lashed out with their votes and elected a clearly sick man -- and thereby, essentially said "burn it all the hell down."

Some way, some how, the sleeping giant of the American people will wake and roar, and perhaps give us a shot at actually bringing about transformative change.

I just hope it happens before I shuffle off this mortal coil.
