Then, kid you not, I looked up Meyer Lansky on wiki.

The USA monkeys with governments of Central and South America, favoring the rightwing over leftists irrespective of Democrats or GOP running our ship of state.

The rightwing Cubans and Venezuelans are a well-healed voting block and happy.

Look at the last 20 years of Honduras like the 2009 Zelaya coup and messing in subsequent elections.
