24. I looked at my kin folks that came to British Colonial America way back.

They paid for passage on the ships that some of them owned. They came from England as they were tired of paying taxes on everything. Paying taxes for the sheriffs and patrols for the public safety and paying for roads and such. They were tired of paying for the king and his families.

They were not the poor people that people think of. (At least from my family). They were landowners (stolen land) but land owners.

I think that is why the citizens were Free, white, male landowners. Not renters, not tenants. But Land owners.

In other words, oligarchy.
