(31,384 posts)17. It seems the agent may have been hit by friendly fire.
The alleged assassin was running pretty fast in the video clip, and then agent guns were out and 5 shots were fired. The man from California was said to have dropped to the floor at that point, but was not hit. So I don't see how he even had an opportunity to fire any of his weapons.

My understanding is the warning from the family came during the event, or immediately before

I think he sent them the message about 10 minutes before. If he sent it earlier, they could have thwarted his plans.

A stretch, but they received advance warning from shooter's family and he was still allowed to check into the hotel
