Trump and all the criminals around him are there for the grift. "Grift" hardly is an adequate word because we are talking tens of billions of dollars that they have already put in their pockets.

Their favorite tactic is to manipulate markets. They have done this with crypto. They have done this with the stock market (over and over again). And now they are doing it with oil, at the pleasure of Saudi Arabia and the multinational oil companies.

Who has the largest proven oil reserves? Not Saudi Arabia. Not Kuwait. Not the UK North Slope. Venezuela has 300 billion barrels of proven oil reserves, the largest in the world.

Trump doesn't give a shit about Venezuela's politics, but people around him know the value of that oil. Trump tried to make a deal with Maduro. He wouldn't deal, so Trump took him out and now has a cooperative partner in in Delci Rodriguez. It is no accident that Trump blasted Iran and shut down the majority of Middle East oil just two months after taking Maduro out. It was actually quicker than that. Trump started sending the Navy to the Gulf within 10 days of making the deal with Rodriguez.

Get it now? Look into that Qatari slush fund account of Trump's and that will reveal the entire story driving this war. Trump will be perfectly happy to keep the Strait closed for months as long as he is getting his take from Rodriguez.
