Is that children who are US citizens can remain in the country either with legal resident/citizen guardians or other in our foster care system. That is a bit different than characterizing them as being deported with their parents. They will retain all the rights and responsibilities of US citizens.

I guess the point is, with that kind of support for birthright citizenship, amending is unlikely.
