New Heart Association Diet Advice Contradicts Government Recommendations

The American Heart Association recommends getting protein from plants--rather than meat--and avoiding full-fat dairy

New nutrition guidance from the American Heart Association advises getting protein from plants rather than meat, choosing low-fat or fat-free dairy and using olive, soybean and canola oils instead of beef tallow and butter.

The recommendations, released Tuesday by the association, contrast with dietary guidelines that the Trump administration introduced earlier this year.

Gee, I just don't know whom to believe. On set of guidelines comes from a guy who pulls his car over to cut off the penis of a dead raccoon, and the set of guidelines comes from healthcare professionals. It's so confusing.
