I'm not French but both of my 1st husband's parents and families were. My MIL taught me how to make meat pie and other good stuff. She passed away years ago but my kids still stay in touch with their aunt, uncle and cousins. I remarried so I only see them once in a blue moon.

Looks great, but use olive oil instead of canola. Canola is usually GMO and is inflammatory even
