Thanks for your good wishes. The game with Texas may be a dog fight and hard won.

Of course I use THE Ohio State on a regular basis.
You have to swear to do so before they hand you your PhD.
(Kind of kidding.)

When I was in my first intro class in the PhD program, we had to write a career goal paper.
I was shocked when I got the paper back and I was given an A but it was crossed out and instead I got a B-.
And an arrow pointed to Ohio State University which I had typed without THE in front of it.
Which is why I got the lowered grade.

I went up and argued with the professor who would not budge. It still makes me mad!
Only B I got in grad school.

I quickly realized I was in a strange new world. I knew nothing about football.
I figured I better adapt or perish, so learned the rules of my new environment.
Kind of like TOS for OSU.

BTW this professor went on to reach a very high level in her career and I would read about her
in the news and SMH and laugh. But glad for her success.
