11. The urban forest interface is 20 minutes away

Out in the forest 3 or 4 days a week walking the dog. Bears and cougars are the ones to watch for.

I have the dog rigged with bells to give wildlife a chance to dissappear. They have a hard life, no need to make it more stressful.

When I go deep into the forest, bells come off and I slow way down and get into the moment.

Black bears are pretty much everywhere but all you really see is the back end as they run off.

Cougars scare me, they follow you out of curiosity.

Only camera I have is the phone in my pocket, not suitable for wildlife.
