LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – This flu season has been rough in Arkansas and nationwide, with thousands of hospitalizations and deaths.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, an estimated 13,000 people have died from the flu. Here in Arkansas, 47 people have died, including one child.

There are many other children with the flu in the state fighting for their lives, including 13-year-old Elsie Littrell.
