3. Check in Device Manager

To access it right click on the Start Button and select Device Manager. See if Camera is listed. If listed click to expand and your camera should show. If the computer is detecting it then it should show there. HP might have a later driver for the built in camera. Double click to open up properties. There should be a drivers tab.

You can also try Uninstall Device and rebooting to let the computer detect it again.
