Thieves attempted to place charges on our credit card this weekend. [View all]

There were five attempts to charge for “flowers” before Mother’s Day. Our credit union declined them all, canceled the card, and a new one is on the way.

There were two probing attempts for 22 cents, and three other attempts for $45, $47, and $66. They were all supposedly flower shops. Our credit union was on the ball and denied them all through some kind of fraud detection. I think the fraudsters didn’t have the 3 digit security code too.

Mrs. Potato had her file compromised in the past Equifax hack. Mine was too and a couple years ago a credit card was opened in my name. That took a while to clear off the big 3 reports.

Anyhoo, check your charges occasionally and watch for small charges especially. These are tests.
