will only obfuscate your understanding of what's been happening before the Hamas attack, and in no way will diminish this atrocity or excuse the violence.

Two different issues. Even so, you cannot understand what's been happening in the Middle East without addressing the issue of terrorism. and what role funding of terrorism by the various regional players plays in its proliferation and the normalization of antisemitism.
