My ex MIL had a ridiculous superstition about black cats, which coincidentally has always been my favorite. We found a black kitten in a box on the side of the road, and I promptly named her Lucy. No reason, just always liked the name Lucy. When MIL heard, she quickly asked if was short for Lucifer. Ha!
