where both men and women have played the game for eons yet women coaches for men's teams are rare while men coaching women is still common. There are women coaches for some individual men in sports like skating but women don't seem to be rising to the top of the ranks in collegiate, Olympic, or professional sports for men.

I wonder if there are statistics available on this. I'd be curious to see how frequently women are coaching men's teams.
