As another responder here has noted, you posted something that was guaranteed flamebait. It is no surprise to me whatsoever that someone called you "Sammy".

Now if your username had been SueReynolds and that same person had called you "dearie", you might have a point. But even then I'd cut them some slack because (a) you never did point to the original thread you were complaining about and (b) I've seen posts using the condescending term "dearie" without being called out as sexist, and rightly so, because in almost all cases the condescension is a result of wildly differing viewpoints rather than sexism.
