I hate to reference the election but slogging along with that has been difficult.

But I have what can only mean good news.

Stage 1 Seminoma testicular cancer no spread to lymph nodes. Surgery was Nov 8 clean margins. Grueling wait til 21st ct scan that shows no spread to lymph nodes. He may have the choice of surveillance or possibly a round of chemo. Will know more when we meet with oncologist in a few weeks.

He waited way too long to even go into the ER for his first ultrasound Oct 1. We have been in a tailspin since then. The prosthetic came in last minute (night before surgery) and he decided to go with it. I think he is ok with that decision.

It has been oh so difficult. His employer just started a program to help with fertility so he has decided to bank sperm no matter what. Wise I believe.

It has meant a lot knowing you are all here thinking of us.

I know there is still a journey ahead. And I know that many stories don’t have such a positive note at this point.

Thankful for where we are and also thankful for all of you. This Thanksgiving.
