Advice on how to get rid of smoke smell in house please. [View all]

If anyone has any tips, especially for upholstery, I'd appreciate it.

I've been smoking in my house for years, and as my first step to quit I am cutting back by only
smoking outside/in the garage. When I'm at my daughter's house, I automatically cut my smoking
in half by doing this. It is also helping here, but I keep smelling cigarettes in the house and that
gets me cranky and wanting one.

We got another smoke-free couch from my daughter, and will be getting rid of the old one that is now
in the garage. But we are keeping a big stuffed recliner, another chair, carpet, and drapes. I'm going
to steam clean the carpets tomorrow (carefully as they are wool), and I'll have to see when I can afford
to get the drapes drycleaned...they are enormous, heavy, and it won't be cheap.

Going to scrub the walls and windows etc.

But if anyone has any other tips, I'd appreciate it.
