Not everything should be nuked at full power is the gist.

When you set Power to 50% that means the power is actually 'on' 50% of the time, the other 50% of the time it's not, cycling back and forth.

During those breaks, ostensibly, heat you built during 'on' phase will move toward the center by natural processes.

The assertion is that for certain foods the end result is better, more even heating, less drying/burning on the outside with insides remaining under-warmed.

Seems logical, really the trick is knowing what % of power for what specific foods and the density of the sample you're cooking.
