Now the kitchen is a comfortable zone for Carys [View all]

Of course, she associates it with eating, so no surprise. But until recently she was still very skittish in that room.

Now I have zero problem picking her up in the kitchen. She snuggles in for some kisses and scritches and when I put her back down, she doesn't race off. This morning, while I filled the food bowls, she curled herself around my ankle and looked up at me with the sweetest expression.

And if by some chance I see an opportunity to pick her up elsewhere in the house, she doesn't exactly relax but she also doesn't struggle to get away.

I'm wondering if her behavior will modify, even more, after she's spayed. Two weeks from today, at right about this time, I should be picking her up from the vet's office. Not yet sure how I will curtail any rough housing. I might have to keep her in the guest room for a couple of days.
