Meet Chloe [View all]
https://imgur.com/gallery/hUgzh4uYesterday, I had an appointment to take my second feral cat to the vet to get neutered, shots and have a wound taken care of side note: my vet is 45 miles away (I live in a very rural area).
On my way home from dropping Brother Bester (brother to feral number one - Chester Bester), I see two dogs running in the middle of the highway - am about 25+ miles from home) there is a house near, so I hope they belong there although I see them in my review mirror watching my car).
Next trip to pick up Brother is around 3:30 .. on the way home about a mile from my house I see about 3 small dogs on the side of the road they cross the road behind me. I flash my lights at an oncoming truck to slow him down. Then, just before I turn on my gravel road, I see one of the dogs from the morning all alone.
All I can think is how awful it is that people are dumping their dogs in the country on the highway.
I tell this story to my hubby (he has gone to our sons house 120 miles away and will return tomorrow).
So this morning, my neighbor calls me and asks if I am missing a dog I say no, both of my dogs are right here and he describes the dog I saw twice yesterday he tells me it is on my gravel road .
I call my hubby and ask him to talk me off the roof . he wants the details I tell him about the dog he asked me what I am going to name it
So, I get a soft leash, a bowl of water and a bowl of food and go find the dog
I drive the gravel no dog so I head north about one half mile there is the dog I pull over and open the door the dog jumps into my car and my arms
She was so hungry and thirsty
She and all my critters have had a lovely day
and no one will ever throw her away again.

A Blue-eyed Merle! "Bron-y-Aur Stomp" is a love song to a blue-eyed merle.
