I'd operate a pupper rescue.
Abandoned dogs frequently turned up at a remote place I lived in Texas, became quite the pack of them. Unfortunately some of them already had heartworms, so they had to be humanely put down. My vet had the best way of doing so: first a shot overdose of anesthetic, they never knew what hit them next.
But that job ended, my cousin took the remaining 2 animals and one relocated with me on many travel gigs. "Bubba"
Many a trip across I-40 New Mexico, I've fed many Abandoned dogs. It's all I can do.
If I could full time rescue them all I would.
