(19,497 posts)maliciously make gun control advocates appear unhinged and belligerent.
If I wanted to create a defaming caricature of an opponent I couldn't have created one more accommodating. It's like a self-animating strawman.
Anybody with even an ounce of awareness would realize that pro-gun control groups have created ads with depictions of violence. To claim the ad in controversy in the OP is a snuff film/call to violence is to open gun control advocates to the same criticism and that is would be seized upon. Yet, here we find ourselves mired in just such a predictable scenario.
Surely, nobody is this ideologically blinded that they couldn't foresee this turn of events.
Is it performance art? Someone trolling gun control advocates? This can't be serious.
