He blended everything, just as Elvis and the Beatles stole music styles created by people of color. But I'm wondering if it's negative that I'd not describe him as black within the first few words of a description of him. On the one hand, there's the "colorblind" aspect, but on the other, does that disrespect something that's in his essence?
