Many such organizations have taken steps to ensure the number of abusers that work for them is much less than the average for the general population, respond rapidly and appropriately when an abuser is found, and informed the public of actions taken to instill confidence in the institution. Boy Scouts of America, for example.

Why can't the holy church be at least as proactive as a bunch of campers?
