A few Nation of Islam kids needed a place to pray that they perceived as safe, plus permission to get out of class for a few minutes at noon (good kids, not troublemakers at all).

So who did they come to? Someone who was willing to go to bat for them with other teachers and administrators. You know, the complete atheist, obviously. (To be completely fair, they knew that I'm good friends with a devout Muslim and very close relative of Elijah Muhammad)

Their religion is bullshit, as are all religions. But a child's beliefs? Priceless, and something I'm willing to die for.
