7. The holidays are very tough for those who grieve. I saw it in my father when my mother passed.

I'm not sure we even put up a tree. There seemed to be no point.

It never went away, but we learned, he learned, to live with it.

In time the memory of the love is healing as the absence no longer feels so much as what it is.

You have my deepest condolences.
