(25 posts)I'm glad that you weren't more seriously hurt. I'd keep a supply of ibuprofen, Tiger Balm, or substitutes at close hand, you're going to need them. Day three might have an unexpected "hello" for you, body pain-wise.
Most importantly, listen to your body, as it definitely will attempt to "talk" to you. Hear what it is trying to tell you; it's the truth! Don't assume that things will work themselves out on their own (but do be positive and believe that they will). Get the additional medical attention you need, whether that's x-rays, MRI's, massage / physical therapy, you name it. Ask about a good chiropractor or someone in a similar discipline. And reach out to friends, like you've done here, early and often. You never know how much some folks know about some things and you never realized it.
Lastly, don't worry (well, at least too much) about that totaled car. I know, easy for me to say. The way I would look at it, is "Thank you good 'ole car, for saving my life. You did your job!".
