Democratic Primaries

(18,158 posts)I did vote for BS in the primary in 2016, because I have a very late primary and it was down to him and Hillary. I thought at that time, BS had a better chance of beating Trump in November. I still think that but it doesn't matter, I supported Hillary and BEGGED the BS supporters I knew to back her, once she was the nominee. Some of them were complete shitheads about it. Which I'll admit is part of my strong aversion to BS this time. A strong leader would have done a better job turning his followers to support the actual nominee. Failing to do that helped ensure that my worst fears about Hillary were realized. (And her losing to Trump WAS my worst fear about her.)
But I always hated "Feel the Bern". It's a horrible slogan that is more like "we will beat your ass and raise our flag on your motionless body". Hardly the progressive philosophy I was raised with. Kind of spits on all our previous models of non-violence like Gandhi, MLK, and Mandela. (Kind of ironic when the same "feel the Bern" types complain about other politico's supposed "war-mongering'. Where do they think war comes from?)
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
