In reply to the discussion: Biden-Sanders debate Official Thread- 3 [View all]democrattotheend
(12,008 posts)100. I'm happy with this debate so far
Good substance, much better w/o live audience/applause lines. They are both being pretty respectful - you can tell there's no personal animosity, and they are keeping it to the issues. I would honestly be happy to have either of these men as president. Policy-wise I'm closer to Bernie, though not quite as far to the left as he is. OTOH Biden seems a bit more presidential and his answers are a little more substantive.
I was about to say they also were focusing on issues instead of polls and electability, but they just went there. Ugh. It's bad enough the pundits yap about electability speculations all day long. I can't stand when they make the candidates play pundit instead of discussing issues.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided

I won't criticise Sanders for that, though I think it is way overdue that we have a woman

FINALLY getting a woman in the top two spots is merely pandering. Not a smart move.

It is because Bernie does not know how to talk to people without raising his voice

I don't know where Sanders is going with this, I don't see him changing anyone's mind on Biden ...

And I read it was pandering. You know how pissed women are to hear that it is merely pandering?

Nevada was a caucus state. The results there will not reflect what happens in other contests.
