'The Moon is a Harsh Mistress' and 'Starship Troopers' are ripping yarns, though the social structure in the former would never have evolved in the circumstances set out, and the politics of the latter are absurd. It was the law when I was young that 'Stranger In a Strange Land' had to be read, and it was fun enough, but once I came upon 'Farnham's Freehold' I decided the man was worth the small effort required to forget and ignore. I understand he has made some subsequent apology for that one, but that makes no difference, he meant it when he did it....
