Its a bit rough to for 2-3 days when going off a lot if them, you could feel a little crazy or weepy. Your doctor has a duty to warn you if go off of it otherwise you will wonder WTH youre going off through. Prozac has no bad withdrawal symptoms. Im a psychiatric social worker along with working in substance abuse so I have a lot of exposure (literally and figuratively) to antidepressants and substance use addictions. You do not have long term withdrawal symptoms from any antidepressants that Im aware of, unlike heroin. I have never heard of someone that has been addicted to an antidepressant, unlike heroin. You are very lucky if you can quit heroin - not a lot of people can stay away from it - which does NOT happen with an antidepressant.
Heroin withdrawal symptoms
Short term:
Fast pulse.
Increased breathing rate.
Increased blood pressure.
Elevated body temperature.
Sleep disturbances such as insomnia.
Dilated pupils.
Unusually heightened reflexes.
Sweating.
Goosebumps (piloerection).
Watery discharge from eyes and nose.
Muscle spasms, cramps, and/or pain.
Bone pain.
Nausea and/or vomiting.
Diarrhea.
Long term:
Anxiety.
Depression.
Sleep disturbances.
Continued fatigue.
A general sense of feeling down or emotionally dull (dysphoria).
Loss of interest or pleasure in activities previously enjoyed (anhedonia).
Irritability.
Short-term memory problems.
Decreased attention, impaired concertation, and difficulty making decisions.
Drug craving.
