SNL: A Ladies Guide to Party Planning

This is exactly what I think they mean when they say "Make America Great Again":

The Bus joined the Bus tour, backs Harris-Walz

As a lifelong Steelers fan, I love this!

https://triblive.com/sports/steelers/political-football-why-former-steeler-jerome-bettis-is-backing-kamala-harris/

Bettis has had some political dealings throughout his life. In 2004, he donated to Republican President George W. Bush. In 2008, he met with Democratic candidate Barack Obama on a tour of the Pittsburgh region.

Players, coaches and other Pittsburgh Steelers figures have been known to get involved in politics.

Hall of Fame running back Franco Harris was a constant presence at many Democratic events all the way up to his death in 2022. Wide receiver Lynn Swan, a four-time Super Bowl champion in the 1970s, ran as the Republican nominee for Pennsylvania governor in 2006. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held a fundraiser for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016.

What's Elon's deal?

I once thought of him as a great thinker who would save the planet from global warming and solve all sorts of problems. Obviously he has gone off the rails, however, and I have to wonder (after listening to part of his Twit interview): Does he really believe Trump when he says global warming is not a threat? And does he believe himself when he says nuclear weapons "aren't that bad"?

Is it as simple as he's a greedy narcissist (like his buddy) and will go along with anything that threatens to take a dime out of his pocket---like unions, etc? Does he REALLY want to live in a totalitarian state? Piss off Putin and accidentally fall out of a window?

I really can't understand him. And I want Twitter and Tesla to fail.

Nice clip of Harris & Walz arriving at Hangar in Detroit

I hadn't seen this. But I was just reading an article on CNN that 45 is having tantrums about the optics that our side has mastered. I love it!

Rallies you've been to?

And did you get close enough to meet the candidate?

Mine:

Bill Clinton (Wilmington, DE). He hung around a LONG time to greet people who wanted to meet him, so I shook his hand.

Barack Obama (Philadelphia, PA). Couldn't get close, could barely see over people. But great speech.

Hillary Clinton (Philadelphia, PA). Along with Obama, Bill, Springsteen, others. I was very fired up and remember feeling pity for the few Trumpers trying to protest outside---assuming that they'd get destroyed. Couldn't get close.

John Kerry (Wilmington, DE). At IBEW Union Hall. Couldn't get close.

Bernie Sanders (Philadelphia, PA). Couldn't get close, packed Temple University site.

I never made it to a Joe Biden presidential rally, but attended many public events that he was at when he was running for Senate ("Beef-and-Beers," etc.). I'm sure I must have shook hands with him at some point, but can't remember.

I did shake Al Gore's hand at a book-signing in Philly and said "Thank you, Mr. President" to which he politely smiled.

The liveliest of them was the Hillary rally in Philly b/c it was such and All-Star event (with Obama, Springsteen, etc.). And the Bernie crowd was great. John Kerry's event was very subdued. Obama's in Philly was cool b/c The Roots opened up for him.

More info about Tim Walz

I found a collection of tidbits about Tim---sorry if it's been posted before. But I had not heard that he can speak Mandarin

https://www.startribune.com/dog-parks-diet-dew-and-car-sickness-a-collection-of-tidbits-about-gov-tim-walz/600766873

Those who have known Walz for years have collected nuggets of information about the life and times of the second-term DFL governor.

He and his wife since 1994, Gwen, have two children: Hope, who recently graduated from college in Montana, and Gus, who is in public high school in St. Paul.

The couple met when both were high school teachers in temporary classrooms in Nebraska. The first lady said she was irked by his loud voice disrupting her classroom.

Their children were conceived through IVF and fertility treatments — as Walz has said, “There’s a reason we named her Hope.”

Joe back in Delaware

Heading to campaign headquarters in Wilmington. A friend of mine works near there and saw the first motorcade, road closures, etc.

Earlier he said it was Kamala. I got fake news

Shady Vance

This is how I'm going to refer to him from now on; someone on a Midas Touch video coined that and I love it.

Talk about Creepy & Weird: Stephen Miller

I know this has been linked before, but since he was on Ari tonight I thought I'd re-post. In a nutshell, he's always been a creeper and an entitled asshole (kind of like his master):
