Netanyahu was elected by the people of Israel to, among other things, run the military. While individual Israelis are

not responsible for the conduct to the war, the same was true of Germans who did not support Hitler's genocide. So, don't blame "Germany, blame Hitler?" It doesn't work that way. I don't feel responsible for Trump's fascist conduct of a war agains immigrants but I'm afraid the United States, as a country, does indeed bear the responsibility for his actions. The same is true of Israel. I know the many Israelis and Jews are opposed to Netanyahu's handling of the war. I don't blame them - I love them. But Israel must take the blame for the decisions of the head of state, just as the US must take the blame for Trump's actions. Until the military mutinies or the people of Israel forcibly remove Netanyahu from office, that will remain true.

After causing the Biden administration of a cover up in the Epstein case, Trump is now calling it yesterday's news and

unworthy of attention. Perhaps the chickens will come home to roost and this will blow up in the administration's face. After fanning the conspiracy theory flames for political gain, it would serve them right.

Republicans believe any question about their policies is evil. They are under the delusion that they are God's

chosen ones, and anything they believe must be true. Even if they believed the opposite the week before.

I'll never understand why conservatives insist on being allowed to live in flood zones, steep slopes prone to

landslides, and beaches that are vulnerable to hurricanes and storm surges. Some communities have bought up properties in flood zones and turned them into parkland. Conservatives bridle at any suggestion why shouldn't build in ares where their lives and property are guaranteed to eventually be at risk. They are like little kids that resent it when their parents prohibit them from doing something dangerous to themselves and others.

Back to the Dark Ages as fast as they can accomplish it. Anti-science, anti-democracy, anti-rule-of-law,

anti-constitution, anti-morality, anti-ethics, anti-humanity.

Every time someone tells me they are "leaving the US" because of the MAGA assault on our democracy, I want to warn

them that this is not an isolated phenomenon. Brexit had the same root causes, and movements in countries the world over are facing serious and credible threats from authoritarian, nationalistic and racist parties. Better to stay here and fight it together.
