i have seen a couple ppl have strokes followed by big personality changes. usually just like this- a fighter who goes all kumbaya. it can go the other way, but the 1s i know, this was it.

esp as so much of the damage/recovery were about ‘depression’ (i wish we had a different word for the array is symptoms we call depression, but w a physical cause.) i think a more accurate was to say that is that it effected the emotion centers.

i honestly think that’s it. dont think he is a good enough actor to b pretending now, nor then.
every thread about him, replies are 95% calling names and a few souls pointing out the brain damage. in this case i think the kind answer is also the correct 1.

damn do i hate this part. atm, my buddy, biff, has a raging bladder infection, the symptoms of which i took for his age setting in.
he’ll b 13 soon. he’s been having trouble getting around for the last few mos. when he started having accidents, i figured that was the reason. he’s always been good that way.
then sunday night he started making little bloody puddles and pacing around the house.
got him to the vet, needed fluids, on ab’s, feeling better, but…
he was due for sr wellness bloodwork, so we did the panel.
his liver numbers r through the roof. doc wanted a couple more tests that they can do on the same sample. will get those results tomorrow.
when he goes for the follow up in 10 days, we’ll do an ultrasound, but doc is worried.
so am i. he’s had tumors removed already.

damn damn damn. he’s just been the best dog. tied for all time best dog i’ve had w my beloved puddy, a white boxer w selective hearing who was the nanny when my kids were small. i guess i have to give her to the edge, cuz her job sure was harder than this guy’s, even w his 5 yrs of service as a therapy dog. but he’s just been the goodest of good boys.

i’m not ready for this.

so, in my quest to remain sane(ish), i'm limiting my news intake. been filling the void w a lot of ngt.

i highly recommend it. lots of good content, short and long.
some of the jokes here r over even my nerdy head, but i chuckled quite a bit. makes me almost weepy w nostalgia to remember when ppl like this were our heroes.

some uplifting stories to kick off the year.

hey cookers- i'm outfitting a new kitchen for mid-term rental. i cd use some opinions.

so, my main source of income is a 2flat. i put a lot into it, and get top of the market rent. but cash flow is still a little tighter than i wd like.

i’ve decided to do mid-term rentals in 1 unit. 3-6 mo leases to traveling nurses and military. i just gave this unit a nice new kitchen, and need to outfit it.
most of these ppl work long hours, and likely dont cook a lot. but it’s 4 brs, so assuming some group meals will b had.

i bought a stand mixer, microwave, coffee maker. i have a big collection of revere ware, and plan to pick up a nice old set of china at the antique store. have the usual utensils to spare, cuz i dont cook much any more. i have a lot of little pretties, tart pans, souffle pans, a couple serving dishes that will do double duty as decor.

so, what small appliances and gizmos wd u want to have if u were camped out for 3 mos?
lotsa cabinets, so room for occasionally used stuff.
