One former Republican offered Trump the “opportunity” to win back his vote ― then confronted Trump directly over his role in the Jan. 6 insurrection, his botched response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and how many members of his own administration have since turned against him.
“I’m curious how people so close to you and your administration no longer want to support you, so why would I want to support you?” Ramiro Gonzalez asked. “Your own vice president doesn’t want to support you now.”
Based on the body language in the room, Trump’s answers to that and other questions didn’t seem to be winning many people over ― and the former president’s critics on social media pointed that out:

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky has unveiled the much-anticipatedfive-point “victory plan” which he says could bring an end to the war by the end of next year.
An invitation to join Nato and specific weapons support from western allies sits front-and-centre of Kyiv’s plan, which Zelensky discussed with the US, UK, France, Italy and Germany leaders in a whirlwind tour.
The plan’s third point calls for a non-nuclear deterrence mechanism with the power to destroy Russia’s military, Zelensky told the members of Ukrainian parliament on Wednesday morning.
Zelensky said there is a secret addendum to the third point, which he could not disclose.
In renewed Western aid to Kyiv, Australia is sending dozens of soon-to-be-replaced Abrams tanks to Ukraine as part of a new military support package worth $245m (£126m)......................

New reporting from MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow revealed that Donald Trump is once again attempting to keep Stormy Daniels silent before an election – despite the former president awaiting sentencing on 34 felony charges related to hush money payments before the 2016 election.
“We have just learned, we have reported out – 20 days before this election – we can report that he is once again trying to pay Stormy Daniels to be quiet,” Maddow said Wednesday night as part of a breaking news “special report.”
Maddow, who said she was “a little bit bewildered by it, as well as a little bit shocked” by the bombshell reporting noted that Trump was convicted earlier this year for making hush money payments to Daniels 11 days before the 2016 election.

“In the midst of this negotiation over paying off the last legal settlement between them, Trump is trying to get another hush money deal with Stormy Daniels ahead of this election,” Maddow said. “Trump’s lawyer basically offered to take it off the bottom line. They would pretend that Stormy Daniels owed less money to Trump than they actually believed she owed if she also signed an agreement to not talk about Trump.”

"Let me be very clear, my presidency will not be a continuation of Joe Biden's presidency," the Democratic nominee declared, adding that she will bring "fresh and new ideas."
The nearly 30-minute interview was tense from the start, with Fox News' Bret Baier and Harris often interrupting each other after the anchor asked a question about undocumented migrants.
"May I finish responding, please? You have to let me finish, please," Harris said as Baier interjected to note that some migrants who were released from custody went on to commit crimes. "I'm in the middle of responding to the point you're raising and I'd like to finish." ...............
..................Harris also repeated her pledge to appoint a Republican to her Cabinet and establish a bipartisan council to recommend solutions for the most pressing issues facing the country if she wins.
