MarineCombatEngineer's JournalTrump's push for voter-ID law hits filibuster wall in Senate.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R., S.D.) had an answer for Trump on Wednesday: Not looking good.
On Tuesday night, the president used his State of the Union speech to ratchet up pressure on Thune to find a way to pass the SAVE America Act, which would require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in federal elections. Democrats vow to block it, saying the measure could prevent or deter millions of legitimate voters from casting ballots.
Congress should unite and enact this common sense, country-saving legislation right now and it should be before anything else happens, Trump said. The president, who has falsely claimed that the 2020 election was rigged against him, said that the only way Democrats can win elections is to cheat. We have to stop it. John, Trump said, calling out Thune by name

It would seem to me that fewer and fewer MAGAT Repukes are willing to do Trumpedo's agenda.
My grand daughter has successfully delivered her load of copper to Ontario, CA.
and I have recommended that our agent find a load headed to the border of CA to Canada to give her experience in snow driving.
Just to let everyone know, my grand daughter completed her first solo run with no hiccups,
now she's headed to one of the copper mines in Miami, AZ, to pick up a load of copper sheeting and deliver it to Ontario, CA, and then from there, who knows.
I have every confidence in her.
Another quick update:
I'm proud to say that my grand daughter is taking her first load out by herself in preparation of taking over the business, she's picking up a load at the Albertsons distribution center in Phoenix, AZ and taking it to the Albertsons Grocery store in Pahrump, NV, just a short run but it will give her experience in driving alone without grandpa in the passenger seat.
I am so proud of her.

This clip from The Outlaw Josy Wales says exactly how I felt after I got home from my second tour in Vietnam:
"I think I'll try to tell him the war is over"
"What do you say Mr. Wilson?"
"I reckon so, I guess we all died a little in that damned war"
This is after the break up of Pink Floyd, with Roger Waters version of Mother, featuring Katie Kissoon,
one of the best versions of the original Pink Floyd song.
Mother by Pink Floyd:

Before I sign off for the night,
I just want to thank each and every one of DU's residents for the years of wonderful experiences and support, I know, in the past, I was sometimes, (Ahem) quite rude but I've mellowed out in the last year or so, at least I haven't gotten any posts hidden, if that's a measure of mellowing out,
, and thank those of you for the hearts.
