80 years old is too old to be President?

It is a demanding job, perhaps the most demanding in the world? It is a job for a younger, more energetic person, in my opinion.

It's just a fact of life. Eighty years old is not the same as fifty or sixty years old. I'm sure there are probably exceptions but, generally speaking, our bodies and minds deteriorate when we reach eighty years.

It was too old for Joe Biden and it is too old for Donald Trump. When you fall asleep during the middle of your own speech, it's a sign you may not be all there.

He needs to step down. He can no longer do the job adequately, if he ever could?

It is not ageism, it is reality.

More than half of the Republican caucus was screaming at Todd Blanche about the $1.8 billion slush fund...

When they return, how many you think will still be against the slush fund?

They are a malleable bunch.

They cannot be trusted.

They got us into this mess.

Let them get us out of it.

Everybody's hesitant to get in the mud with the crazy...

Instead, they choose chaos, lies, corruption, and everyday insanity. We don't want to get muddy.

But unfortunately, we are left with little choice.

We knew they would never change. They would continue to deny reality. They are a cult that pays no attention to the "fake news". If it doesn't come from their leader, it is meaningless. They are a sick cult.

Now we are neck deep in the Big Muddy, and the fool says "March on!".

No. We cannot march any further. This is the end of the road.

The insanity has to stop.

There is no more time for the lies.

We must return to a more normal existence.

Only a moron will tell you how smart he is.

Only a moron will say that only he can fix it.

It's time for these folks to face the music.

They have divided this country with ignorance.

And they shout it from the mountaintops.

"Gas prices will drop like a rock"...

That is what Trump said would happen as soon as the Strait of Hormuz was open and the oil tankers begun to flood the market with oil.

By simple supply and demand, we can expect prices to drop. However, they do not usually drop "like a rock". They tend to take a little longer to fall than to rise.

But, several months out, it is unlikely Democrats will be able to use that as a campaign issue. However, there is the inflation issue on everything else, including groceries. I suspect that will still be an issue come November.

Trump will brag that he won the war because the price of gasoline went down. But, he did not win the war. The world is in a much worse place because of his aggressive war of choice. He has greatly harmed our alliances around the world, including the Middle East. He has chopped off his nose to spite his face.

Is there anyway a President's "pardon power" can be challenged?

It is obvious that Trump is not using the pardon power the way it was intended by the Founders. He is pardoning everyone that commits a crime in his name.

With former presidents, there was a process to receiving a pardon. Trump pardons with a tweet. He follows no process. Is it possible to make the process part of the legal requirement for a pardon? Could the Congress pass such legislation, since it does not interfere with the pardon itself?

All of the folks now assisting Trump in breaking the laws are anticipating a presidential pardon. The IRS Commissioner and Todd Blanche are helping him to try and steal money from the Treasury, from the taxpayers of this country. That cannot be legal in any sense. Is the pardon power unchallengeable?

It has gotten so insanely corrupt that he is now talking about pardoning himself? That has never been in the consciousness of any president ever, as far as I know? Some dictators would hesitate to make such a claim.

In my opinion, many crimes are being committed under the assumption that they will never be punished. They are relying on a pardon from Donald Trump.

"What is your major malfunction, Numbnuts!?"

For some reason, you are unable to put January 6th behind you or to accept the truth about what happened on that day? Surely you remember?

You invited all those folks to Washington on that day and planned the speeches right down to the minute. But you cannot accept responsibility.

You incited a treasonous act and now pretend that yourself and all those people that attacked the Capitol are somehow "victims" and deserving of compensation.

Yes, you would like to wipe it out of memory and out of history.

But, it isn't going anywhere.

It is beyond your mortal means to make it disappear.

This is bad. You need to see a doctor.

You have a very serious problem, Mr. Numbnuts.

Is there a bounty on Trump's head?

He acts like it.

He wants to find a hole under the White House and crawl in it. He wants to spend a billion dollars on a bunker under his ballroom.

Or is it just paranoia?

Why would anyone want to kill such a fine Christian man? What has he done to deserve such hatred?

Don't answer that.

Republicans Total Political Negligence

They have failed miserably. They have betrayed our country and their oaths. There is nothing to say in their defense.

There is no way to sugarcoat it.

They have stood behind someone who has murdered our citizens. Someone who has started a war that he does not know how to end. Someone who threatens world peace, by using the US Military to invade other countries and kidnap their leaders, and commits war crimes by bombing school children in another country, and by blowing up injured people clinging to a boat in the Caribbean.

His crimes are too numerous to mention, not the least of which is to attempt to steal taxpayer money from our Treasury.

They had a duty to protect our country and our Constitution and they failed at every turn. By all accounts, they should be in jail as accessories to murder and treason. But they are busy running for re-election. They are the last people on earth that need to be representing the people of this country.

That is the truth laid bare.

Is Trump on the phone with the Republican Senators and Congressmen....?

...attempting to get them to agree to his theft of taxpayer monies to pay his criminal friends?

I suppose he probably is, since they are all on vacation, and near their phones.

Also, I don't expect him to give up his attempt to get $10 billion from the IRS so easily. He will come back with a counter offer. Most of the people in his orbit will do whatever he requests.

First of all, we must acknowledge that it is nothing more than a crime syndicate. People have been murdered in its name.

It is a "come to Jesus" moment for Republicans. They have never had a more opportune moment to stand for something than now, with Trump's approval rating at 32% on the economy. He is not as strong in public opinion as he once was.

But he will cajole, twist arms, threaten, and plea for their support. This Republican Party will decide whether or not they live or die.

Thomas Massie lost his Kentucky House race by 10,280 votes....

His opponent received 10,854 mail-in votes.

Why is that relevant?

Because Donald Trump plans on using "mail-in" votes as part of his strategy to say the next election is rigged.

But, his candidate would not have won without "mail-in" voting. Massie would have been the victor.

Did Trump say anything about the mail-in voting in Kentucky?

Just a little factoid to store away.
