Trump blatantly lies about meeting family of murder victim, Ruby Garcia

(WOOD-TV) The sister of murder victim Ruby Garcia said she and her family were home watching live, in disbelief, as former President Donald Trump told an audience in Grand Rapids that he had spoken with “some of her family.” “He did not speak with any of us, so it was kind of shocking seeing that he had said that he had spoke with us, and misinforming people on live TV,” Ruby Garcia’s sister, Mavi Garcia, told Target 8. Mavi Garcia, the family spokesperson, said neither Trump nor anybody from his campaign has contacted her or anybody in her immediate family. She said her family is close and she would know if that had happened.

Biden, Sanders to take victory lap after drugmakers cap cost of inhalers

(The Hill) President Biden on Wednesday will tout Democrats’ efforts to lower the cost of inhalers after drugmakers announced plans to cap prices. The president, alongside Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), will give remarks at the White House to highlight the crackdown on the cost of inhalers. They will also be joined by health care advocates and experts, according to a White House official. After the administration’s crackdown, which included scrutiny for anticompetitive practices that can delay lower-cost generics from coming to market, three of the four largest inhaler manufacturers announced in March that they would cap the cost of inhalers for many patients at $35 per month.

(Meidas Touch) Donald Trump has made his position clear on a new six-week abortion ban in Florida that will soon become law after the Florida Supreme Court upheld the ban. This latest statement from the campaign underscores Donald Trump's position on abortion bans heading into an election where reproductive rights will be at the forefront of voters' minds.

Biden's aggressive campaign strategy involves swing-state stops and jabs at Trump

(ABC News) As President Joe Biden ramps up an aggressive reelection campaign schedule -- while still facing mediocre early polling and poor approval ratings -- he is targeting swing states, fundraising and attacking former President Donald Trump in mocking jabs that mimic some of his rival's own language. In the initial phase of a long general election fight to November, Biden has traveled to every battleground state in the month since his State of the Union address with visits to Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Special counsel slams idea that Trump could claim classified docs as personal records

(ABC News) Special counsel Jack Smith, responding on Tuesday to the judge overseeing former President Donald Trump's classified documents case, urged her to reverse course on entertaining the idea that Trump had any personal ownership over the classified materials he has been charged with unlawfully possessing. Smith's office repeatedly urged Cannon that if she continued to entertain such an interpretation of the Presidential Records Act, she "must inform the parties of that decision well in advance of trial" -- suggesting they'd seek relief from the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, which has already overturned her rulings twice in the case.

Chemtrail Bans Introduced In 7 States Now That Republicans Have Solved All The Real Problems

(Jalopnik) Pennsylvania State Senator Doug Mastriano made headlines recently when he floated legislation that would ban chemtrails, which aren’t real and only exist in the minds of unhinged conspiracy theorists. His bill wasn’t entirely original, though, as it was modeled after a similar bill that recently passed the state senate in Tennessee. As Substack’s Radical Reports reports, these are far from the only chemtrail bills being introduced around the country, and wouldn’t you know it, the sponsors are all Republicans.

Trump Media saved in 2022 by Russian-American under criminal investigation

(The Guardian) Donald Trump’s social media company Trump Media managed to go public last week only after it had been kept afloat in 2022 by emergency loans provided in part by a Russian-American businessman under scrutiny in a federal insider-trading and money-laundering investigation. The situation led Trump Media to take emergency loans, including from an entity called ES Family Trust, which opened an account with Paxum Bank, a small bank registered on the Caribbean island of Dominica that is best known for providing financial services to the porn industry.
