https://x.com/krassenstein/status/1991242950144065672The answers from MAGAts are hysterical. They are up in arms over the prospect of children learning Arabic numbers. Clearly the post is meant to expose idiocy, and they rose to the occasion.
Stupidity like this is why Trump is President.
This is fascinating data
I'm, of course, not surprised, but it should be harder for Netanyahu's defenders to deny the high rate of civilian casualties and overall devastation of the war. It should be. Also, it reveals that the argument that Gaza is no different in its casualties than any other war is blatantly false.
Trump admin denies helping Israeli official charged with child sex crimes in Nevada
Source: Raw Story
President Donald Trump's administration denied assisting an Israeli official who was reportedly charged with child sex crimes in Nevada.
In a statement last week, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said that eight individuals had been arrested in a sting targeting child sex predators. Israeli government cybersecurity official Tom Artiom Alexandrovich, 38, was charged as part of the operations, Las Vegas officials said.
By Saturday, Alexandrovich had been released and returned to Israel, according to The Guardian.
Independent journalist Sean King reported that "the Trump administration personally intervened, at Israel's request, to override U.S. law enforcement, including their own federal agents involved in the sting, to make sure that Alexandrovich got back to Israel quickly and safely."

This despite the fact that he's out on bail with a court date for this week.
More than 1,000 rabbis and Jewish leaders denounce starvation in Gaza
The letter denounces Israel's "mass killings of civilians" and "the use and threat of starvation as a weapon of war." The Jewish leaders say Israel's actions damage not just the country's reputation, but Judaism itself.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has denied reports of starvation in Gaza. However, the letter calls upon Netanyahu and the Israeli government "to respect all innocent life."
Rabbis from several denominations in the U.S., Canada, Israel and across Europe have signed the letter, which focuses on starvation and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, but does not denounce the war. The signatories clearly state that they support Israel's battle against Hamas.

The time for denial has passed. Leaders of good faith and human compassion see the situation and condemn it. It's time to stop covering up in order to further the starvation of civilians and especially children. And, of course, Israel is starving the hostages too.
Two human rights groups are first Israeli voices to accuse Israel of genocide
Rights group B'Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights Israel released their reports at a press conference in Jerusalem, saying Israel was carrying out "coordinated, deliberate action to destroy Palestinian society in the Gaza strip".
"The report we are publishing today is one we never imagined we would have to write," said Yuli Novak, B'Tselem's executive director. "The people of Gaza have been displaced, bombed and starved, left completely stripped of their humanity and rights."
Physicians for Human Rights Israel focused on damage to Gaza's healthcare system, saying: "Israel's actions have destroyed Gaza's healthcare infrastructure in a manner that is both calculated and systematic". . .
The 1948 Genocide Convention, adopted globally after the mass murder of Jews by the Nazis, defines genocide as "acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group".

Two Israeli Human Rights organizations accuse Israel of Genocide in Gaza
Interesting interview.
This is what starvation looks like in Gaza
United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres warned Monday evening that "the last lifelines keeping people alive are collapsing" in Gaza, and that there were growing reports of children and adults exhibiting symptoms of malnutrition.
Abu Salmiya told reporters that new cases of malnutrition and starvation were arriving at Gaza's remaining functioning hospitals "every moment," adding: "We are heading towards alarming numbers of deaths due to the starvation inflicted on the people of Gaza."
In a statement issued Tuesday, the U.N. human rights office said many people were arriving at Gaza's hospitals "in a state of severe exhaustion caused by a lack of food. Others are collapsing in the streets. Many more may be dying unreported ... These deaths and the horrendous physical and psychological suffering caused by hunger are the result of Israel's interference with and militarization of humanitarian assistance."

How can we allow this to continue? Why does anyone tolerate the lie that there is no genocide in Gaza? What have we descended to?
There is a death camp being constructed in Rafah
now, not in 2024. The Israeli government is constructing a camp for 600,000 Gazans in Rafah, which they then plan to expand to contain all 2 million Palestinians. Israeli Defense Minister Katz says the Gazans will not be allowed to leave alive, unless they leave Palestine altogether. Former Israeli PM Olmert calls them concentration camps designed for ethnic cleaning. Thats not a Hamas spokesman, but the former Prime Minister of Israel.

The plan is so evil, even the IDF resists it.

But Israel is nonetheless forging ahead

We are talking about 2 million souls. This is a human rights atrocity of historic dimension.
As citizens of the world, we have a responsibility to inform ourselves on that which we defend.
How Netanyahu Prolonged the War in Gaza to Stay in Power
Six months into the war in the Gaza Strip, Benjamin Netanyahu was preparing to bring it to a halt. Negotiations were underway for an extended cease-fire with Hamas, and he was ready to agree to a compromise. He had dispatched an envoy to convey Israels new position to the Egyptian mediators. Now, at a meeting at the Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv, he needed to get his cabinet onboard. He had kept the plan off the meetings written agenda. The idea was to reveal it suddenly, preventing resistant ministers from coordinating their response.
It was April 2024, long before Netanyahu mounted his political comeback. The proposal on the table would have paused the Gaza war for at least six weeks. It would have created a window for negotiations with Hamas over a permanent truce. More than 30 hostages captured by Hamas at the start of the war would have been released within weeks. Still more would have been freed if the truce was extended. And the devastation of Gaza, where roughly two million people were trying to survive daily attacks, would have come to a halt.
Ending the war would then have raised the chances of a landmark peace deal with Saudi Arabia, the Arab worlds most powerful country. For months, the Saudi leadership had secretly signaled its willingness to accelerate peace talks with Israel as long as the war in Gaza stopped. The normalization of ties between the Saudi and Israeli governments, an achievement that had eluded every Israeli leader since the states founding in 1948, would have secured Israels status in the region as well as Netanyahus long-term legacy.
But for Netanyahu, a truce also came with personal risk. As prime minister, he led a fragile coalition that depended on the support of far-right ministers who wanted to occupy Gaza, not withdraw from it. They sought a long war that would ultimately enable Israel to re-establish Jewish settlements in Gaza. If a cease-fire came too soon, these ministers might decide to collapse the ruling coalition. That would prompt early elections that polls showed Netanyahu would lose. Out of office, Netanyahu was vulnerable. Since 2020, he had been standing trial for corruption; the charges, which he denied, mostly related to granting favors to businessmen in exchange for gifts and favorable media coverage. Shorn of power, Netanyahu would lose the ability to force out the attorney general who oversaw his prosecution as indeed his government would later attempt to do.

What kind of person kills and starves tens of thousands of people to preserve his political standing?
I don't think Trump is in control
He doesn't care enough about governing or the responsibilities of being President to implement all these changes. He is simply going along with the Project 2025 billionaires and Musk. His concerns have always been his ego and how much he can grift; nothing else interests him. We are witnessing direct rule by oligarchs. They don't simply advise Trump; they control his administration and all of its actions.
Trump does care about having loyal governmental appointees, and the reason for that is his ego and desire for retribution. That, however, is not the same as a political agenda. Trump's political concerns are limited. He promotes hatred because he sees that as feeding into his pretense of power, as rallying support among his white supremacist base. But that base doesn't care about policy any more than Trump does. The one exception is the anti-DEI, anti-immigrant (read Nazi) crusade. For the oligarchs, anti-DEI provides an opportunity to decimate government and free up more funds to fill their own pockets through tax breaks. Then, of course, the Project 2025 adherents want to see government destroyed altogether. We are in dangerous times, and Trump is merely the vehicle for the annihilation of the American way of life.
