I actually feel sorry for storeowners. All they want to do is make a living. It doesn’t help the residents of the area or anybody buying at any 7-11 in the country as prices will go up. This is unacceptable. Sorry but it is.

About 50 juveniles ransacked a 7-Eleven in Los Angeles on Friday night, the LAPD confirmed.
The department said officers received a call around 7:25 p.m. that about 50 kids biked to the 7-Eleven located on the border of Beverly Hills at 8500 W Olympic Blvd. and stole items from the store.
The underage suspects fled the scene on their bikes before officers arrived.
An Instagram account named Street People of Beverly Hills posted videos that show the crowd of minors biking into the parking lot, running inside and escaping with their hands and pockets full of snacks and other items.

Most data stored on power-hungry servers is used once then never looked at again
When “I can has cheezburger?” became one of the first internet memes to blow our minds, it’s unlikely that anyone worried about how much energy it would use up.
But research has now found that the vast majority of data stored in the cloud is “dark data”, meaning it is used once then never visited again. That means that all the memes and jokes and films that we love to share with friends and family – from “All your base are belong to us”, through Ryan Gosling saying “Hey Girl”, to Tim Walz with a piglet – are out there somewhere, sitting in a datacentre, using up energy. By 2030, the National Grid anticipates that datacentres will account for just under 6% of the UK’s total electricity consumption, so tackling junk data is an important part of tackling the climate crisis.
Ian Hodgkinson, a professor of strategy at Loughborough University has been studying the climate impact of dark data and how it can be reduced.
“I really started a couple of years ago, it was about trying to understand the negative environmental impact that digital data might have,” he said. “And at the top of it might be quite an easy question to answer, but it turns out actually, it’s a whole lot more complex. But absolutely, data does have a negative environmental impact.”

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando City Commissioner Regina Hill, 58, was arrested Thursday morning on elderly exploitation and fraud charges, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said.
Hill, who represents District 5, surrendered herself to FDLE’s Orlando Regional Operations Center near downtown Orlando on Thursday morning.
Agents said they then took her to the Orange County Jail, where she was booked at 9:45 a.m. on charges including, exploitation of the elderly, fraud, mortgage fraud and scheme to defraud.
During her booking, Hill refused to provide personal information, including her current address, jail officials said.
Hill is accused of exploiting a 96-year-old constituent and also faces civil charges.
FDLE agents said Hill used falsified documents to gain power of attorney over the woman, to purchase a home, to obtain loans to renovate that home and to spend more than $100,000 of the woman’s money on luxuries, including a facelift, perfume and dental surgery.
Agents also said that while Hill spent money to renovate the home that she was staying in rent-free -- outside of her district -- Hill’s own home remained in a dilapidated state.
Biden says Baltimore bridge rebuild should be paid for by the federal government after collapse

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden said he wants the federal government to pay to rebuild the Baltimore bridge that collapsed early Tuesday after a large cargo ship sailed straight into one of the bridge's support pillars.
"We’re going to work with our partners in Congress to make sure the state gets the support it needs. It’s my intention that the federal government will pay for the entire cost of reconstructing that bridge, and I expect the Congress to support my effort," Biden said in brief remarks from the White House before he left for North Carolina.
Biden said that it will take "some time" to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which transverses the Patapsco River, but that he told Maryland Gov. Wes Moore, a Democrat, that he's directing the federal government to "move heaven and earth" to reopen the port and rebuild the bridge "as soon as humanly possible."
He said he also plans to visit Baltimore as "quickly" as he can.
"Our prayers are with everyone involved in this terrible accident and all the families — especially those waiting for the news of their loved one right now," Biden said.

A woman who walked into a popular Texas megachurch Sunday afternoon with a long gun and a young child opened fire before she was killed by law enforcement officers on scene. The gunfire left the child in critical condition and another man injured, officials said.
Authorities are now probing the shooting at televangelist and pastor Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church – roughly 6 miles from downtown Houston.
The woman, estimated to be between 30 and 35 years old, entered the church shortly before 2 p.m. wearing a trench coat and backpack and opened fire, Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said in a Sunday afternoon news conference.
The shooter died at the scene after two law enforcement officers intervened and she was shot, Finner said.
The young child was hit during the shooting and is in the hospital in critical condition, the police chief said. It’s unclear who fired the shot that injured the child. CNN has reached out to police for more information.
Police have not shared details about a possible motive in the shooting or said what the woman’s relationship is to the child who accompanied her. The injured man was shot in the leg and sought treatment at a hospital, Finner said.
The gunfire unfolded while the church was “in between services” and preparing to go into a Spanish service, Osteen said in Sunday’s news conference.

Holy cow! These drug companies are just nasty. I am so grateful that the government cracked down on that horrible drug OxyContin. What a disaster that’s been for our country. Basically all done behind the scene until a smart women questioned the drug. It’s a powerful movie. I highly recommend it. I’m not done but needed a break. Lol.
It’s a mini series that has real actors and a very informative and true storyline.
